Reconstrained Design

The Reconstrained Design Group was formed in 2016 to build on the advances made by critical and speculative design, but with the explicit aim of taking such approaches out of the gallery. The group has already influenced contemporary design practice and critical thinking about technology through exhibitions, festivals, conferences, workshops, and coverage in the media. The group’s output to date will be curated and displayed in an exhibition of working prototypes, written texts, and documentary film and photography at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) in early 2018.
