Giovanni obtained a bachelor degree in Industrial Design from the Politecnico of Torino in 2004. While completing his studies, he had two internships in New York: at Milder Office, Inc. and subsequently at the Chad Dziewior Design Studio, focused on furniture and set design. Since 2003, he has been leading numerous workshops and international cultural exchanges financed by the European Community, in Europe and in Africa. After a year of freelancing as an identity and visual designer for a variety of clients, Giovanni started working at the Exhibition Unit (e1) of the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. Since 2005 he has been working for InteractionDesign-Lab as a designer and project leader. In 2006 he moved to Eindhoven to attend the IM Master course at the Design Academy where he graduated in conceptual design. Giovanni Innella is an Id-Lab collaborator and partner pursuing his path as independent designer. His works have been exhibited at the Droog Gallery in Amsterdam, the National Architecture Institute of Maastricht and the Furniture fair in Milan, among other places. Giovanni also continues his collaborations with various Academies and Universities as guest teacher and researcher while occasionally contributing to develop content for international design magazines.
Currently Giovanni covers the position of Senior Researcher at the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute.
