Summer Internships - Undergraduate students

Job Purpose: 

Five part-times vacancies are open for research and development in the scope of Regional Project M1420­01­0145­FEDER­000002/ RH013, co­financed by “Madeira 14­20”.
The grant is for a period of 3 months, non renewable.
This call provides exciting opportunities for undergraduates to work with faculty on research projects across M-ITI, contributing directly to the creation of knowledge, building new skills and strengthening the link between teaching and research.

Tasks include:
The selected students will work side-by-side with M-ITI researchers and faculty in enriching experiences surrounding research. Students apply for a student research position with a particular faculty member who will oversee their progress throughout the course of one semester. Some positions also give students the opportunity to work with advanced undergraduate peer mentors and graduate 

It’s up to the faculty supervisor and the student to decide how much time the student will work; most projects expect 20 to 25 hours per week. 

Workplace: Facilities of Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, located in Polo Cientifico e Tecnologico da Madeira, Caminho da Penteada, 9020-105 Funchal 

All necessary equipment will be provided by M-ITI.

The candidates should fulfill the following requirements:
- Be extremely motivated and passionate to learn
- Bachelor/on going degree in related scientific areas.
- Mandatory English, written and spoken.

The first phase of the selection process will be based on:
- Motivation letter (40%);
- Curriculum Vitae (40%)
- Portfolio (20%)

The candidates admitted to the second phase will be invited for an interview. Candidates can be interviewed by video conference, conducted in english.

Publication and notification of results: The results will be made public through a final list ordered by candidate classification, available for consultation at the Madeira-Interactive Technologies Institute.
